Weekends are time to relax and let the worries of every day work rest. While many of you might want to laze in bed and relax, the success you so yearn for might be hiding somewhere in what you do over the weekend. It is one thing to be successful and another thing to be exceptionally successful. Some people are exceptionally successful to the extent that people wonder how they do it. If you want to be successful, you need to have focus, determination and put in all the hard work that the job requires. What makes some people more successful than others is what they do with their time, and not just office time, but the time for leisure and relaxation as well.

Have you ever wondered what successful people do during the weekends? Do they just carry on working, or laze about because it is weekend? Do they go for meetings and spend the whole day in the office? The answers are many, but they definitely don’t waste their time away because they find other important things to do. Here are things that have been listed among numerous others that exceptionally successful people. You want to be successful in your businesses or at the place you work? 1.      They wake up early: A lot of people see the weekend as a time to hang out with friends, relax or probably sleep all day.  It is wrong to assume that because it is weekend, you can just forget about some important office work that needs to be taken care of. Successful people will get up early because time, to them, is precious no matter the day of the week.

2.      They plan for the week ahead: For many successful people, the weekend is the perfect time to plan for a hitch-free week ahead.

  3.They read: You cannot negate the power of reading. Reading makes one to know and gain more knowledge about other things, such as what is happening around the world and even read on how to be more successful. They also read so as to be informed better when next they want to approach a task.

  4. They reflect on the past week: As Socrates said, “An unexamined  life is not worth living”. Successful people abide by the technique of reflecting on their work schedules from the office. They sit back and reflect on what they did right and what they feel they could have done better. They also decide what needs to be improved on for the coming week.

5.They connect with their family: During week days, they don’t always have the time to spend with their loved ones and friends. So they make sure that they spend quality time with them to show that they are still part of the family.

6.      They stay in shape: Exercising is good for the body. Not only does it make one to stay fit and strong, it also gives you a sound mind which can make your brain to function well. Despite their busy schedules, they don’t make the excuse that they are tired on weekends. They go to the gym, take a walk or jog. 

7.      They give back to the society: Most successful people engage themselves in charitable work by helping and giving things to the less privileged. They have a heart of gold and don’t want to see people suffer. They also create time and visit the orphanage homes or even the hospitals. 

8.      They build momentum: The word “Average” does not exist in their dictionary, so they don’t settle for less. They always focus on greater things, so they make sure the weekend is a good time to put things in perspective and also refocus on important goals.
9.They make time to have fun: “All works and no play make Jack a dull boy”. They also have fun, like hanging out with friends, going for a social gathering and even engage in their hobbies like football and basketball among others.


10.  They Disconnect: They make sure they do away with work when the need arises. Exceptionally successful people do away with their phones; don’t check emails when they want to take a break. They can even take a walk without taking their phones along, or even drive just to sit out and relax.
