The Hausa film industry (Kannywood) saw growth in the 2015, both in the market and in the talent-display arena. The audience were treated to an array of movies that treated diverse themes ranging from romance, family dispute and witchcraft, among others. While many of the roles were typical and predictive, many others did attempt to break new grounds.
