STYLE YOUR OUTFIT WITH BANGLES

STYLE YOUR OUTFIT WITH BANGLES

Accessories are often used to complete an outfit and are chosen to specifically complement the wearer's look. A standard bangle is a fashion accessory used as an adornment to contribute, in a secondary manner, to the wearer's outfits. The word ‘bangle’ actually came from the Hindu word ‘bangri’, which means ring-shaped anklet or bracelet.  They are a type of rigid bracelet jewelry that today come in many varieties, ranging from colourful plastic to intricate expensive gold, silver, wooden or knitted bangles won loosely around the wrist.

Bangles were usually associated with matrimony in countries like India, Pakistan and Bangladesh, where tradition demanded the bride to wear as many small glass bangles as possible at her wedding; the honeymoon would end when the last glass bangle broke. But they have become popular fashion accessories over the years in other parts of the world including Nigeria.

While they hold special appeal to young ladies, there are also bangles for beautifying kids.  Traditional African women also often wear bangles for the purpose of adornment; they are considered important fashion accessories for both adults and children.
Bangles also have a very traditional value in Hinduism and it is considered inauspicious to be bare armed for a married woman. Some men wear bangles on the arm or wrist called kada or Kara.
Style your outfit with pretty bangles. Bangles can also be worn all at the same time; they usually hit against each other which produces a very lovely percussive sound.
