GOMBE; A BREATHTAKING TOURIST ATTRACTION PL ACE


Tourism has always been an essential part of civilisation. It could be for leisure, study, health, business, etc and in Gombe state; any of these can be achieved because the state has awesome and breathtaking tourist attraction places.

Gombe state is located in the northeastern part of Nigeria and its nicknamed the Jewel In the Savannah. So, if you are a holiday seeker looking for a place where crowds would not be a bother to you, Gombe State is the right place to be.Below are some beautiful and worth going places for tourists in Gombe;


Gombe Hills

Tangale Hill is a volcanic hill that is beautiful and enchanting. It is one of those places where you would want to hike and have fun. People come here to unwind and take awesome pictures. There is the Tangale Peak which is considered among the hills with the highest peak in the country. Then, there is the Kilang Hill that is over 1000 feet above sea level.


The Bormi Battle site, Bormi

One place you should not forget visiting when you are in Gombe is the Bormi Battle Site. This is where a battle was fought between Major F.C. Marsh,and Sultan Bajoga Attahiru during a war. It was said that these two men had lost their lives in this war.

The Emirs Palace

The Emirs Palace has been built to look stunning and beautiful. Tourists coming to Gombe are awed when they visit this palace that also serves as the spot for the Durbar festival. Activities take place here often especially during some Muslims' events that attract thousands of people to this place.


The Tula Battlefield, Tula

It was this place that the British first attacked the people of Tula. It is a historic place to visit. It can also be an excursion location for students who are trying to mingle with colonialism.


Tomb of Bubayero Gombe Abbas

Maybe, you do not know about Bubayero Gombe? He was the man who had founded the Gombe Sukku Emirate. He was so influential and powerful that his tomb has been registered in Nigeria as a national monument.
