Interesting Places to Visit In Abuja

Abuja is a big city with so many places of interest. It is a beautiful city with both natural and manmade tourist attractions centres. You can spear some time out of your busy schedule for sightseeing. You will not want to miss out on top attractions like the eagle square, Jabi Lake, millennium park etc.
So, if you are in Abuja either on a business or leisure trip, a visit to these places of interest will make your stay worthwhile.
Millennium Park- This Park was commission by her Royal majesty, Queen Elizabeth II of England, on 4th December 2003. The park is the largest public park in Abuja and has a nice walkway with fountains and night lights.
A river crosses the park, dividing it into two parts. One side of the park is dedicated to uncontaminated nature. The other side, corresponding to the main entrance, from the road is dedicated to the scientific knowledge of the natural environment. The park has a traditional and rigid Italian style garden layout as the park was designed by an Italian architect and has become one of the main attractions of Abuja bringing thousands of people together each day. 
Jabi Lake- Is located in the heart of Abuja, people consider the lake as the best spot for early morning exercise, and it’s a very beautiful place for families and friends to go for picnic and other recreational activities. There are also beautiful shopping malls beside the lake.
Silver Bird Cinema- The silver bird entertainment centre is a must visit place for entertainment. The silver bird cinema has a luxury shopping, 12 screen cinema/ VIP balconies, food court, spa, clothing, supermarket, and many other facilities for your consideration. Silver Bird Cinema is located at Memorial Drive, central Business Area.
Eagle Square- Was constructed in 1999 to serve as the platform for the official take-off of the forth Republic of the Federation. It has since provide the primary symbolic transfer of power and inauguration of new government, notably the swearing-in ceremonies of executives presidents of the federal Republic. The Eagle Square is used for hosting the National day parade and as well as in staging a number of political rallies, religious crusades, musical concerts, launching and award ceremonies.
Abuja International Conference Centre (AICC) – The Abuja international conference centre provides an ideal location for exciting and large events. The centre is suitable for concerts, consumer and trade shows, large receptions or gala night and other special events. The AICC can accommodate up to 3,000 guests. This conference centre is one of the most famous venues in Abuja. It hosts some of the renowned National and International events every year linked to variety of industries. Abuja international Conference Centre is one of the most suitable space providers for every event.
The Nigeria Communication Commission- Is the Independent National Regulatory Authority for the telecommunications industry in Nigeria. The commission is responsible for creating an enabling environment for competition among operators in the industry. The structure is beautiful and magnificent.  They also ensure the provision of qualitative and efficient telecommunications services throughout the country.
IBB Golf Club- The IBB Golf club is an international standard Golf course, attracting local and international tournaments in collaboration with major steak holders in the city and Golf Association throughout the country. IBB Golf Club is located at Aso drive, Maitama District.
The National Children’s Park and Zoo- Is a place where you can introduce your children to different animals and birds. Domestic animals such as camels, donkeys and chickens and wild animals like cheetah, giraffes, zebras, ostriches, and lions can be found there. It is base at the Aso Rock in Abuja off the Murtala  Muhammed Express way.

Wonderland- Wonderland now magic land is an amusement Park, with lots of activities for both  kids and adults  like bouncy castles, dodgem cars, merry go round, and roller coasters etc. Wonderland is a good place for family to visit for fun. It is located at kukuwaba road, opposite National stadium.
Julie Useni Park- This Park have a number of wild and domestic animals, Various species of reptiles such as turtles, alligators, lizards, among others. You can also have the opportunity of seeing antelopes, rabbits, jackals and a wide variety of birds including parrots, geese, ducks, and more. There are various other recreational facilities and refreshments in the park. The Park was found by the Environmental protection Board.
