SIMPLE WAYS TO CARE FOR Y0UR NAILS

The hands are one part of the body that are further subjected to stress, crack and damage due to contact with water, detergent, cold or pollution. It is therefore necessary to subject them to special care. Healthy fingernails are smooth, without pits or grooves. They are uniform in colour and consistency, and free of spots or discoloration. Sometimes fingernails develop harmless vertical ridges that run from the cuticle to the tip of the nail. Fingernails can also develop white lines or spots due to injury, but these eventually grow out with the nail. Your fingernails, composed of laminated layer of a protein called keratin, grow from the area at the base of the nail under your cuticle. As new cells grow, older cells become hard and compacted and are eventually pushed out toward your fingertips. To keep your fingernails looking their best and beautiful, here are some few steps to follow.

1.  Always keep your fingernails dry and clean. This will prevent bacteria, fungi, and other organism from growing under your fingernails. Wear cotton-lined rubber gloves when washing dishes, cleaning or using harsh chemicals; and avoid long soak in the tub.

2.  To prevent annoying ingrown toenails, it is best to cut your nails regularly square, this does not grow awry. To achieve strong, healthy and beautiful nails, you have to eat such nutritive foods as rice, sunflower pipes, pumpkin, onion and garlic, and foods rich in silicon.

3.  Trim and cut your nails regularly. Use a sharp manicure scissors or clippers. Trim your nails straight across, then round the tips in a gentle curve. It might be easiest to trim and file your fingernails when they are soft, such as after bathing. The easiest route to healthy nails is through a well-planned regimen of diet and grooming. Eat the correct foods and protect your hands from environmental stress.  Give your nails a break from polish as often as possible. The more time your nails spend in the nude, the less they will dry and chip.

4 . Did you know that strong and healthy nails and dry brittle nails are inherited? This is why some people have strong nails and some have dry, brittle, and weak nails. By caring for your nails on a regular basis you will ensure that they look good and are strong and healthy. Most stores carry some types of manicure kits that you can buy to give yourself a manicure at home. They are very inexpensive, and easy to use. Well, it is advisable that natural is definitely healthier and cheaper.

Toughening up weak nails can be challenging. However, brittle or weak fingernails can be protected and the risk of breaking or splitting can be reduced. Nails should be kept short and should be filed using a nail drill, because longer nails are prone to breaking or splitting. Along with applying moisturizer to fingernails, wearing cotton gloves when going to bed should also be considered, since the moisture will get sealed in the nails this way. If you want to pamper your nail by using special products or nail art material, ensure that you keep your nails clean and always source such products from recognized beauty supply distributors, as they offer the quality products that won’t harm your nails or even skin. The fingernails should be kept moisturized by applying a thin coat of clear nail polish to them. The use of nail polish remover should be limited to about once a week. When it needs to be used, an acetone-free variety should be chosen.  To prevent nails damage, don’t use your fingernails as a tool to pick, poke or pry things. Always avoid biting your nails or picking at your cuticle. These habits can damage the nail bed. Even a minor cut alongside your fingernail can allow bacteria or fungi to enter and cause an infection. If you have a nail problem that doesn’t seem to go away on its own, or is associated with other signs and symptoms, consult a doctor for an evaluation.
