Throwback Pictures of Baze University Holds Second Convocation Ceremony.
The second convocation ceremony of one of the most prestigious universities in Nigeria was held in Abuja. The ceremony kicked of with a dinner and was crowned with the convocation ceremony the following day. The grand occasion was graced by top dignitaries, government officials, staff members, graduating students, family members, friends and well-wishers who all came to support and encourage the graduating students. During the ceremony, ten out of the total of 212 graduating students had first class degrees and were honoured. Elder statesman and former Nigeria Permanent Representative to the United Nationals, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Sule, during his speech, commended the academic standing of the university, saying it is important to '' educate our boys and girls because Nigeria is destined to play a very important role, not only in Africa, but the world.'' While urging the government to invest in education, he said, '' I'm expecting to see better education policies with the present government.'' He also told the graduands, '' you are the potential leaders the future, and vanguard of revolution, solution to our problem and answer to the future to holds.'' An interesting highlight of the convocation was the naming of the structure of the institution after some notable Nigerians. As usual, Tozali crew captured all the beautiful highlight of the events. Enjoy!
