According to Cambridge English
Dictionary, Charisma is a special power that some people have
naturally that makes them able to influence other people and attract their
attention and admiration. Being likeable is not rocket science, but a number of people
do not care if you like them or not because they feel they are not out there to
please anybody. However, first impression matters, because that will determine
if people will like you or not. The way you relate to people around you and
being able to win them over is an important skill that you will need to move up
the ladder of success. There
are lots of habits that charismatic people exhibit which tend to endear them to
many people far and near; five of those charismatic qualities are discussed in
this article.
They Listen More Than They Speak
An empty vessel makes the most noise, as a popular saying goes. When charismatic people relate with others, they make them feel heard. Many people like to talk and relate with them because of how attentively they seem to listen and give useful feedback. The fact is that people tend to like and remember good listeners positively. It is always better for one to listen before concluding so that in that way, you will leave a positive impact on someone.
They are Sincere People
Charismatic people are sincere, or at least they are very good at seeming sincere, and this is what draws people to them. People typically like those they perceive to be honest and humble, and charismatic people have that going for them. A charismatic person’s genuineness coupled with a kind personality will garner instant like from others, to the extent that wherever he or she goes success will always go with them.

They Stand Up Tall
Charismatic people have certain ‘swag’ or ‘vibe’ that makes people to want to draw close to them. They stand up tall and have an appealing appearance, or manner of approach. They, of course, have a good posture, whether sitting, standing or walking, and that makes them appear secure and confident. This is another characteristic that people admire in them, which makes them likeable. There is an adage that says, “Dress the way you want to be addressed”, another one says, “Show me your friends and I will tell you who you are”. These two popular sayings play significant roles in our lives.
They Build Confidence in Others
Charismatic people have a
way of building self confidence in others such that when you spend time with
them, you feel better, inspired, or motivated in some sort of way. This makes charismatic
people likeable and many people want to be around them. The fact is charismatic
people tend to build confidence in others by giving credits and compliments
where they are due, to make others feel important. And when they criticize, they
do so constructively. They are very generous with words of encouragement.
Remember Names
Charismatic people go to lengths to know the names of people around them; where it appears difficult they device a system of remembering. If, however, they forget, they are very polite in asking a second time and will hardly forget again.
We are not all the same; just as a saying goes that
all fingers are not equal. We all have our strengths and weaknesses. Leverage
on your strengths and work to improve on your weak points.
