'3 months after my marriage, I am full of regrets'

A day hardly passes by without one hearing or reading publications of a very young marriage riddled with so much trouble.  It’s either the couple wants o get divorce because of domestic violence, allegations of cheating or because one of the partner feel that he or she is regretting marriage. Young and beautiful lady called Sarah recently took to social media to tell the world that she regretted marrying the man she thought loved her. Below is her story.

Disclaimer: Names of people and places have been changed to protect the privacy of the persons involved.

My name is Sarah and I am in my late twenties. I got married to Ugo three months ago but now I am convinced that I made a grave mistake by accepting to marry him. I can no longer cope with what is going on as I am not safe. I met Ugo through a friend’s match making. Ugo lives in Jamaica and when my friend who is related to him told me her brother is looking for a wife, I did not give it any serious thought. After my friend kept pestering me, telling me how much Ugo loves me after she sent my pictures to him; I decided to give him a chance. We started communicating via social media and went on to speak on the phone. He would call me and spend hours talking; telling me all the good things a woman would love to hear. He sent me his photos and I saw was a handsome young man. He told me he was into the importation of cars and electronics into Nigeria and was in the process of building his mansion in Victoria Island in Lagos where, according to him, we would live when we got married. He even instructed his brother to take me to the building site and said I should monitor the progress of work (a moved that made me believed he truly loves me). He would send money to me to pay the contractors and engineers, practically putting me in charge. His brother took me to his hometown to meet with his family and his mother was very happy that her son would finally settle down and become a responsible man.

I had now come to fall in love with Ugo even though I had not met him before and was basking in the euphoria of getting married to him. Early this year, he came to Nigeria and we had our introduction and engagement but I noticed one thing about him which got me troubled initially. He was always getting calls at night and would sneak into the sitting room to pick those calls. When I asked him why he would not pick calls in my presence, Ugo would tell me the calls were from his business partners and that I would not understand what they talked about. After our wedding, I thought Ugo would take me with him to his base but he said he would not want me to come to Malaysia as the country was very hostile. He promised to be coming to Nigeria every month and that he had plans to come back finally in a year or two. But the happy bubble burst for me when I found out that my husband was not only married and had kids with an Asian  woman he lived with, he was also into drug trafficking.  I got to know this when some of his friends came to our house and told me they wanted to take some documents that could be incriminating. I wondered what documents could be incriminating in my house and told them I won't allow them into the house without my husband’s permission. One of them got angry and brought out a gun which he pointed at me and told me to cooperate or they would kill me there and then. They ransacked the house and removed documents I never knew were in the house. When they were done, they asked me if I had heard from Ugo and I told them that he had not called in two weeks and that I could not get him on phone.

That was when they told me that Ugo had been arrested in a drug raid and was already in prison awaiting trial. They also told me that I was to be Ugo’s drug mule as that is what he is grooming me for. I was shocked; thinking how could a man do that to a woman he claimed to love and even got married to? After the men left, I did some findings and found out that Ugo was not only into drugs but a cultist and ritualist. My life is in danger because those men told me that they would be watching me and that if I reported the matter to the police, they would come after me.

What would you advise Sarah to do?

What is Anal Fissure?

An anal fissure is a small cut or tear in the lining of the anus. The crack in the skin causes severe pain and some bright red bleeding during and after bowel movements. At times the fissure is deep enough to expose the muscle tissue underneath. An anal fissure may occur as a result of childbirth, straining during bowel movements, or long bouts of constipation or diarrhea. Anal fissures can also be the result of certain medical conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease, infection, and cancer. It affects people of all ages, and often seen in infants and young
children.
Constipation is a common problem in these age groups. An anal fissure usually is not a serious condition. In most cases, the tear heals on its own within four to six weeks but in cases where the fissure persists beyond eight weeks, it is considered chronic, or long term. Certain treatments can promote healing and help relieve discomfort, including stool softeners and topical pain relievers. If an anal fissure doesn’t improve with these treatments, surgery may be required. Or your doctor may need to look for other underlying disorders that causes the anal fissures.

Signs you are exhausted not tired

Sometimes you wake up and find yourself constantly yawning throughout the day, struggling  to stay awake during midday meetings and pass out on the couch when you get home neglecting even to change into your night wears. If your answer is yes to all this questions, then you are
not just tired but exhausted. Everyone feels worn down every now and again, but there is a
difference between being tired and being exhausted. Exhaustion is much more dangerous. Oftentimes, we take our need for sleep for granted and overlook the health concerns that come about because of a lack of it. Being perpetually exhausted can lead to a variety of health problems including obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, appetite regulation, increases inflammation, early mortality and 50% percent increase in the risk of viral infection.
The consequences of sacrificing sleep can ripple throughout various areas of your life. So if you are tired and you are experiencing any of the symptoms below, it might mean you are exhausted and it is time to devote some serious time to sleep and relax.
Dehydration:  If your lips are cracked, your skin is scaly, and you are suffering from frequent headaches, dehydration may be to blame even though this is common during the dry season. Dehydration and exhaustion go hand in hand. It is impossible to maintain energy if you
don’t have enough water because the brain is made up of about 85% of water and therefore requires it to function properly. Dehydration may disrupt healthy brain function during sleep, so the more fatigue you feel the more dehydrated you are. ‘Always drink lots of water every day to the point where your urine is clear’.  Says Michael J. Breus, PhD, a board-certified expert in clinical sleep disorders.
Junk Food Cravings: If you are always hungry and craving for salty, sugary, highly caloric snacks all the time, this could be a sign of exhaustion. When you don’t get enough sleep your body produces a stress hormone called cortisol. In order to balance out the amount of cortisol, the brain actively seeks serotonin which is a calming hormone. A really easy way to get a heaping dose of serotonin is by eating comfort foods full of fats and carbs. Unfortunately, giving in
to these kinds of snacks could make you even more exhausted. When you eat these foods your blood sugar and insulin levels rise quickly. This not only causes you to be even more exhausted, but to also crave more salty, sugary, fatty calories. If you find yourself reaching for junk food when you are tired, make a conscious effort to turn away and grab low-glycemic foods like fruits and whole grains instead. They will stabilize your blood sugar and insulin levels and give you the boost you are really looking for.
Sluggish Thinking and Irritable Mood: Are you more forgetful than usual? Are you always in a sour mood? You may be experiencing a disruption in your REM sleep (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep is characterized by random movement of the eyes and the propensity of the sleeper to have vivid dreams. It is a 90 minute period where your body stabilizes the chemical balances in your brain, stabilizes your mood, and processes memories and knowledge. If you are always sluggish, irritable, and forgetful, you may not be getting enough REM sleep.
Waking Up Tired: If you go to bed on time every night but still wake up tired and sluggish the next day, you could have a condition known as sleep apnea. Sleep apnea is a serious sleep disorder that occurs when a person's breathing is interrupted during sleep. People with untreated sleep apnea stop breathing repeatedly during the night, sometimes hundreds of times. This means the brain and the rest of the body may not get enough oxygen. Because sleep apnea is a serious medical condition that has been associated with high blood pressure, increased risk for stroke, heart attack, diabetes, gastro esophageal reflux disease, heart failure, hypothyroidism, abnormal heart rhythm, and sudden death; sleep apnea is a very serious matter. Missing a single night’s sleep can result in increased depression, fatigue, confusion, reduced productivity, mood swings, and reduced ability to concentrate which can result to serious health issues if not treated in time.
Health is wealth; therefore always pay attention to any unusual sign your body is telling you.

Former Super Eagles defender Michael Emenalo has resigned from his role as the technical director of Chelsea

Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte has said he is sad to see former Super Eagles defender Michael Emenalo depart the West London club. Michael, 52, arrived at Chelsea in 2007, and for the past ten years has been the club’s technical director, supporting the work of the first team management, leading the club's international and domestic scouting network and assisting in driving the technical programmers of the Academy and international youth network. While speaking to chelseafc.com, Conte said: “I am very sorry to see Michael leave Chelsea, and I would like to thank him for all his help and support since I arrived at this club. I have enjoyed working with him very much, we celebrated a Premier League title together in May, and I wish him the very best for the future."
The West London showed gratitude to the Nigerian in a statement where it said "Everybody at Chelsea thanks Michael for his loyal service and wishes him well for the future. He will always be welcome back to Stamford Bridge as a friend of the club."
Juventus on high alert as Chelsea, Manchester City enter race to sign Diakhaby
Premier League giants Chelsea and Manchester City have reported attempting a summer transfer swoop of Lyon defender and Juventus target Mouctar Diakhaby. The Blues are lining the French defender as a possible replacement for struggling Antonio Rudiger, Italian media Calciomercato claims. As reported here, the German international has struggled to adjust to the Premier League after his big money transfer from AS Roma this past summer. Now, it appears that manager Antonio Conte may look to steal Lyon center back away from Ligue 1, and even his former club, Juventus. The Italians have been linked with Diakhaby as they look to replace Leo Bonucci, and deal with the increasing age of Giorgio Chiellini and Andrea Barzagli. However, those plans are in danger as Chelsea are now in on the 20-year-old. Since debuting with Lyon last season, Diakhaby has played in 40 matches, include six this season where he’s tallied a goal.
West Ham United confirm David Moyes new manager
Premier League campaigners West Ham United have confirmed the appointment of former Manchester United coach David Moyes as the new manager of the club. The 54-year-old Scottish professional coach has however been charged with the task of saving the club from relegation at the end of the ongoing Premier League season. Moyes has agreed to a two-and-a-half year contract at the London Stadium, and will take training for the first time today, November 7, 2017. The deal is understood to include a £2 million bonus for steering the club to safety in the Premier League this season.

Alhamdulilah" Dalian Quanjian have won two consecutive championships after they were crowned League champions last season after finishing top in the eight-team league with 32 points after 14 games. They played in the season opening Super Cup after winning the league but lost in the semi-final of the FA Cup. Oshoala emerged highest goal scorer in the league with 12 goals. She joined Dalian Quanjian from Arsenal Ladies on 10 February 2017.

Natural Ways to improve your sugar level

When you learn to balance your blood sugar you minimize your risk of blood sugar-related diseases, metabolic syndrome, diabetes and heart disease. Eating foods that release energy quickly can cause feelings of fatigue, hunger and irritation. Processed foods and those full of
refined sugar cause a spike in your blood sugars by releasing their glucose in a sudden rush. One of the easiest way to balance your blood sugar levels is by including fiber-rich foods into your daily diet. Most foods which are high in fiber are also low in calories and other
nutrients which allows it to make a positive impact on blood sugar levels quickly.
So if you are moody, irritable, hungry, have cravings, experience poor concentration or gain weight? You need to balance your blood sugar!
Below are a few natural methods to help balance your sugar level:
Exercise: When you exercise your cells begin to absorb glucose at a much higher rate. This leaves less glucose in the bloodstream, thus improving your blood pressure and blood sugar levels quickly. Moderate daily exercise is essential to both preventing and managing diabetes.
Thirty minutes a day will boost your well-being.
Stay Hydrated: Your hydration has a profound effect on every aspect of your body. Drinking a healthy amount of water each day will help you balance blood sugar levels in no time. Studies show that those who drink between 17 and 34 ounces of water per day, or four average
glasses, are 30% less likely to develop problems with their blood sugar.
Avoid Stress: Stress causes a stimulation of the nervous and endocrine systems which makes your blood sugar levels spike. Your emotional well-being directly affects your blood sugar due to the body’s natural trigger to release epinephrine and cortisol when energy levels are
lacking. If your physical energy levels are fine but your stress is triggering otherwise, your blood sugar will climb rapidly.
Get enough sleep: Poor sleeping habits affects many aspects of your body’s chemistry. Too little sleep and you will have a ravenous but unhealthy appetite, higher blood sugar levels and everyone knows the affect overeating has on weight. However if you sleep too much, this
can lead to conditions such as heart disease and strokes. Get seven to nine hours of peaceful sleep per night as sleep deprivation wreaks havoc on blood sugar and not getting enough sleep reduces glucose tolerance, meaning your cells have a harder time taking up glucose, which leads to higher blood sugar. The other problem with inadequate sleep is that when you are tired, you eat more because your body is desperate for energy. And usually you want to eat sugary, crabby foods that will spike blood sugar levels.
Don’t skip Meals: Each of the three basic meals are an essential part of keeping your metabolism running at an optimal state. Breakfast is extremely important for the regulation of blood sugar levels, while the consistent spacing out of your meals will ensure that glucose is
absorbed stably. Don’t overload on carbs as this will also cause a spike.
Keep a Check on your blood sugar level: When tracking your blood sugar, be sure to check your blood sugar levels at different times of the day. It is best to check both before breakfast and after your evening meal. Wait an hour or two before checking and always test yourself when trying new food, exercise or medication.
Compare your Records: As you track your blood sugar levels on a day to day basis take the time to reflect at least once a week on the difference in results. See where, how and why your blood pressure spiked or improved on what day and adjust your diet and habits accordingly.

What makes a good woman

We live in a society where commitment seems to be so much of a sacrifice which makes many men to be seeking and praying for a good woman. As we all know; a woman plays a very important role in a man’s life. The type of woman a man marries determines the type of children one has and the type of life a man wants. A good woman comes with the following qualities:
·  Family oriented: every one of us came from a family and we all know what family entails. Everyone is expected to be close to their family because they are the first people you get to grow up with and know before anyone else. A woman who values her family will definitely value yours; and this is very important when considering a future with a woman.

·  Kind hearted: every man should look out for a woman who is thoughtful, loving and caring. These are attributes of kindheartedness. A woman who does small things for you for no other reason that she loves you; a woman who is warm from her heart is a woman every man should look out for.
·  Intelligence: looks and honestly are what attracts most men to a woman before another thing. It is very difficult to spot a great personality from across the room. When conversations occur then you can be able to judge her intelligence. Hold real discussions about meaningful topics and hear what comes out of it.
·  Empathy and understanding: A compassionate and a supportive woman goes a long way, to build a successful relationship. Your woman has to have such qualities, no man wants a woman who is “hard core” and not encouraging as life is full of challenges and you need a woman who is supportive in all areas.
·  An ambitious woman: as you are pursuing your own goals and dreams, she will have her own as well. There is nothing wrong with a woman being ambitious.  A matured woman should have a vision for her future and chase after it with all seriousness.
·  Consistency: a woman should be consistent. Being consistent is a valuable virtue because it lets your partner know that you are really what you are. Consistency also means being your real self as there is nothing good in being predictable.
·  Physical attraction: no doubt men are attracted to a woman’s physical look. There’s need for a physical attraction between two partners to kick off a relationship; this also plays a very vital part in holding it together.
·  Religious status: this is one part a man shouldn’t neglect when looking for qualities in a woman. Be it any religion you are practising it’s very important that your woman should be religious as it helps in guiding, protecting and bringing up the kids in a God fearing way. So men while looking out for a slim, chubby fair looking woman look out for these qualities.

How to get over your EX

Getting over a relationship is no doubt one of the worst human experiences a person can endure, especially when you both are love struck with each other. It’s tempting to file your ex away in a distant corner of your mind where you don’t have to think about them, but that attitude may be doing more harm than good. Taking the time to actually think about your split may help you heal from the pain quicker. There’s a saying that goes “when one door closes, another opens” but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us. Breaking up is never really easy to do. But for some, the process of getting over a failed relationship can stay a little longer than for others. This brings about the loaded question; why can it be so difficult to get over an ex?
• Cry hard: its allowed to cry don’t deny yourself that. If you need to cry it out, do so. Or better still go to the gym, get a punching Bag and punch out your anger.
• Cut off contacts: never you try to be friends with your ex after your break up. Don’t hang out with his buddies, don’t text him; don’t call him because the best way to get over someone is to initiate a clear boundary. Defriend him on Facebook, UN -follow him on twitter and stop going to same saloon with his sisters.
• Spend time with your friends: now that he’s out of your life or she’s out of your life, (this applies to exs of both gender) spend quality times with your friends. Catch up with the people you may have neglected when you were madly in love.
• Don’t analyse and regret: never have you analysed the play-by –play of your relationship. Don’t get stuck in the “would haves” and “should haves” stop looking for reasons and explanations and learn to accept it the way it is.
• Stay single for a while: enjoy yourself by staying single for a while. The rebound relationship is rarely successful even if your mind is telling you to bounce back with someone new, choose to remain single until the edges of bitterness, anger and sadness soften.

Wild Fig and its health benefits

Often mentioned in the Holy Bible as a sign of peace and prosperity, the fig tree which is a member of the mulberry family usually found in Asia is an ancient heritage. Lots of people might be wondering ‘what is wild fig’? I can bet you that you might have seen the tree countless times but didn’t know that it is the wild fig tree; and it is edible. Most of the tress are small at 10-30 feet and thrive in warm, dry climates pollinated by a tiny wasp. Fig trees never blossom because the flowers are on the inside, producing dozens and sometimes hundreds of miniscule seeds that give figs their unique, crunchy texture. The dried form of fig is available almost everywhere, all year round.

The health benefits of figs come from the presence of minerals, vitamins, and fiber contained in the fruits. They contain a wealth of beneficial nutrients, including vitamin A, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, calcium, iron, phosphorus, manganese, sodium, potassium, and chlorine. Figs are high in fiber and a good source of several essential minerals, including magnesium, manganese, calcium (which promotes bone density), copper, and potassium (which helps lower blood pressure), as well as vitamins K and B6. Besides being ideal for long storage, the nutritional values of figs increase when they are dried. A half-cup of fresh figs, for instance, provides as much calcium as one-half cup of milk, but a single dried fig contains almost as much calcium as an egg. Whether fresh or dried, figs contain powerful antioxidants that neutralize free radicals in your body and fight disease.

In some cultures, fig leaves are nearly as important as the fruit, not just because of what they add to Mediterranean-style cuisine, but because of the unique health-related benefits they offer. This includes their ability to regulate blood sugar levels, since research has shown they contain properties that can actually reduce the amount of insulin needed by diabetics.

Health Benefits of Figs
Figs have many amazing health benefits. Below are the health benefits.

Prevent Constipation
There are 5 grams of fiber in every three-fig serving. That high concentration of fiber helps to promote healthy, regular bowel
function and prevents constipation. Fiber works to add bulk and mass to the bowel movements, so it not only prevents constipation but also eliminates diarrhea and unhealthy or irregular bowel movements.

Weight loss
Being fat or obese can serve as a detriment to one’s health that is why it is always advised to eat lots of fruits and vegetable. The
fiber in figs helps to reduce weight and is often recommended for obese people. However, their high-calorie count can also result in weight gain, especially when consumed with milk. A few figs are enough to get the recommended amount of nutrients, so don’t overeat it.

Lower Cholesterol Levels
Figs contain pectin, which is a soluble fiber. When fiber moves through the digestive tract, it mops up excess clumps of cholesterol
and carries them to the excretory system to be eliminated from the body. As a soluble fiber, pectin from figs also stimulates healthy bowel movements. They can have a laxative effect, as they are one of the most fiber-dense foods available. High amounts of fiber in your diet can benefit your overall health by preventing certain types of abdominal as well as colon cancer.

Prevent Coronary Heart Diseases
Dried figs contain phenol, omega-3, and omega-6 fatty acids. These fatty acids reduce the risk of coronary heart diseases. Furthermore,
fig leaves have an inhibitory effect on triglycerides, making their overall number drop. Triglycerides are another major factor behind various heart diseases.

Prevent Breast Cancer
The fiber content in figs has been known to protect against cancer. After menopause, the hormonal balance in women can often fluctuate.
The body’s systems are so interconnected that these hormones affect the immune system, which in turn affect the ability of antioxidants to fight free radicals. Free radicals are prime factors behind the development of cancer, so figs take care of one extra line of defense by providing fiber to the body.

Control Diabetes
The American Diabetes Association recommends figs as a high-fiber treat that helps to promote functional control of diabetes. Fig leaves
reduce the amount of insulin needed by diabetic patients who have to regularly take insulin injections. They are rich in potassium, which helps to regulate the amount of sugar absorbed by the body after meals. Large amounts of potassium can ensure that blood sugar spikes and falls are less frequent, so figs can help diabetics live a normal life.

Prevent Hypertension
People usually consume sodium in the form of salt, but low potassium and high sodium level may lead to hypertension. Figs are high in
potassium and low in sodium, so they are a perfect defense against the effects of hypertension. This makes them a relaxing food as well, one that can settle the nerves and bring some calmness to your day.

Treat Bronchitis
The natural chemicals in fig leaves make them an ideal component for a tea base. Fig leaf tea has been popularly prescribed for various respiratory conditions like bronchitis and is also used as a way to prevent and lessen the symptoms of asthma.

Treat Sexual Dysfunction
For centuries, figs have been recommended as a way to reduce sexual dysfunction like sterility, endurance or erectile dysfunction. They
have been a major part of mythology and culture, and most of the times are referred as a powerful fertility or sexual supplement. Their actual success as an aphrodisiac is questionable, but the huge amount of valuable vitamins and minerals is probably the reason in the sudden boost in energy and stamina that people mistake for a sexual surge. Soak 2-3 figs in milk overnight and eat them in the morning to enhance your sexual abilities.

Strengthen Bones
Figs are rich in calcium, which is one of the most important components in strengthening bones and reducing the risk of
osteoporosis. They are also rich in phosphorus, which encourages the bone formation and spurs regrowth if there is any damage or degradation to bones.

Relieve Throat Pain
The high mucilage content in figs helps to heal and protect sore throats. The soothing nature of figs and their natural juices can
relieve pain and stress on the vocal chords.

Word of Caution: Eating too many figs can cause diarrhea. Furthermore, dried figs are high in sugar and can potentially cause tooth decay. Also, there are those who are allergic to figs or certain chemical components within them, and the resulting allergic reactions can be mild to severe. As always, before making a major change in your diet, speak with your doctor. Finally, it is best not to consume too many figs in the first few weeks leading up to a surgery, because they can occasionally cause bleeding in the digestive tract in sensitive people.

What qualities make a good man?

Have you ever wondered at the qualities you should look out for in a man? When it comes to relationships, some issues are certainly important in our choice of partners. Like it or not, these important issues cannot be ruled out, neither should they be vague in our minds regarding our partners. In fact, we must be so clear about them that there should not be a shred of doubt in our minds. It’s so unfortunate that even as adults many of us struggle to know what is important in a significant other. It’s amazing as women because the patterns of what will work, and what will end terribly is often clear but we ignore it, or turn a blind eye. We let strong feelings get in the way while some go about dating in a calculated manner setting standards that no man can achieve.
Women should look out for a man who is:
1. Submission: A man should have total submission in the sense that he should admit that he is not always right, and also willing to change areas where he needs to.
2. Honesty: Honesty means saying the truth at all times and all cost. A matured man should be able to speak with whole, complete and concentrated truth. Without honesty, you as the woman cannot trust what he says including when he says he will commit to you in marriage which is a very important issue.
3. Kindness: Look out for a man who is kindhearted to you and others around him. Never expect a man to be consistently kind to you when he is not kind to others.
4. Selfless: Now ask your self does he think of my needs? Am not saying get a man who is rich, who spends and lavishes money on you, what am saying here is that he should be able to provide the basic things for you. Mind you, not just you but also the needs of others. He should be able to sacrifice his little with you that is what a man should do.
5. Fear of God: This should be the first thing you look out for in a man. This is very important, because when a man has fear of God he has everything. He won’t treat you anyhow; neither will he want to hurt you in anyway.
6. Focus: This is very important, get a man with focus, find out what his focus is in life, his vision, what drives him, what he want to become, his ideas about marriage, family and life.
7. Utterances:  Words are like milk which cannot be got back when spilled. Look out for a man who is careful with his words, who filters his words before bringing them out. If a man talks anyhow he will definitely embarrass you in front of your family, his family, your friends and strangers too.

8. Maturity: Being matured means a man who is able to take care of himself and handle issues in a calm and collective manner. A man who understands what being a man is, a man who is able to carry himself in a respectable way both in private and public.
