JOSE MOURINHO: EX-MANCHESTER UNITED MANAGER BREAKS SILENCE AND RELEASES OFFICIAL STATEMENT
Mourinho, 55, was relieved of his duties on Tuesday after a dismal run in the Premier League, which sees the club languish in sixth place and 19 points behind league leaders Liverpool.
While his successor has already been unveiled in the form of interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the Portuguese tactician spoke to Sky Sports News on the streets of London just a day after departing Manchester.
When asked about his feeling towards the decision, he simply claimed it was 'game over' for him after the meeting with executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward decided his future.
"We could speak about so many good things, [some] not as good, but that's not me," Mourinho said.
"It's finished. Manchester United have a future without me and I have a future without United."
However, he refused to open up about the internal details of his stay at the Red Devils and stated he'd like to leave his tenure 'in the past.'
Having seen his contract terminated that was meant to run until the end of the 2019/2020 season, the former Real Madrid head coach did eventually make an official statement towards the United supporters via his agency.
