Dark under arm can be very embarrassing, especially when it is noticeable. This can prevent you from wearing sleeveless, short sleeve, armless dress, swimsuits or bathing in public.
Dark underarm can be caused by common factors such as hyper-pigmentation, shaving, as
some ingrown hair tend to make your underarm appear darker, etc. It is also important to note that some deodorant and antiperspirant tend to make your underarm darker.
Most people battling with dark underarm do choose a natural lightening approach. My underarm regimen is occasional shaving and scrubbing. If you have darker arms, moisturizing is also a good idea.
here are 4 natural steps to lighten your underarm.
Step 1
What you need
2 tablespoons of baking soda
1 tablespoon of water
1 bowl
Coconut or Olive oil
Pour 2 tablespoons of baking soda into a bowl, add few drops of water and mix into a paste. Apply the mixture to your armpits and massage gently for a minute. Leave this on for 20 or 25 minutes. Wash off with lukewarm water, then apply coconut or olive oil to calm it.
If you have sensitive skin, use one teaspoon of baking soda and leave for 10 minutes only.
This should be done before taking your evening shower. This can be done daily until you achieve your desired results.
Step 2
What you need
1 tablespoons of baking soda
½ lemon
Bowl
Coconut or Olive oil
Pour the baking soda into a bowl, squeeze the juice of the half lemon into the bowl to make a paste. Add a few drop of water to dilute it. Apply the mixture to your armpits and massage gently for a minute.
Leave for 20 minutes and wash off with cold water. Don’t forget to rub your oil.
If you have sensitive skin, use one teaspoon of baking soda and leave for 10 minutes only.
This should be done before taking your evening shower. This can be done daily until you achieve your desired results, or twice a week depending on your schedule.
Step 3
What you need
½ lemon
Sugar
2 drops of honey
Bowl
Coconut or Olive oil
Squeeze the juice of the half lemon into the bowl, add your granulated sugar and honey to make a
paste. Apply the mixture to your armpits and massage gently for a minute. Leave for 15 minutes and wash off with lukewarm water. Don’t forget to rub your oil.
If you have sensitive skin, leave for 5 minutes only.
This should be done before taking your evening shower. This can be done daily until you achieve your desired results, or twice a week depending on your schedule.
Step 4
What you need
Lemon
Coconut or Olive oil
Cut thick slices of lemon and rub the slices on your underarms. After 10 minutes, rinse your armpits with cool water, dry them and moisturize with your oil.
None of the above procedures should be done during the day, as the arm can be extremely sensitive to sun light. Secondly, do not apply your deodorant or antiperspirant after scrubbing your underarm. The best time to do the above listed is before retiring to bed.
