Ahmed attended Mustapha Comprehensive School, Kontagora where he was noted for his academic excellence and placed with the responsibility of serving as a Class Captain. He obtained his West Africa Secondary School Certificate (WASSC) from Command Secondary School Kaduna where he was able to acquire the much-needed military experience and attributes; discipline, persistence, efficacy, integrity, commitment and straightforwardness. Upon the demise of his father in 1993, he assumed the responsibility as the father to his younger ones and a companion to his mother at the young age of fifteen (15). Ahmed acquired a B.Sc. degree in Geology from the Federal University of Technology Minna, Niger State. After the necessary National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), he gained employment with an indigenous oil and gas company in Lagos state.
Ahmed attended Cavendish College, London and bagged a Master’s Degree in International Trade and Marketing and then to Manchester Metropolitan University where got trained as a Geographic Information System and Spatial analyst. He later joined the telecommunications industry and rose to the position of a Senior Business Development Manager.
In 2012, curiosity drove him to venture into what a long line of his family members have always been into; Entrepreneurship, although in a more trendy approach. He started off Skylar, Inc. a company focused solely on Information Technology (IT), Networking, Security Systems, Corporate branding, and Business consulting with staff strength of over 100 young people. Skylar, Inc., a nurtured dream has continually gained grounds in trying to ensure the next generation embraces IT, as it is evidently the next frontier for not just national development but global advancement towards innovation and wellbeing.
Ahmed has a foundation ‘Ahmed Bee Foundation’ which has been responsible and associated with social activities to support educational development in Nigeria. He is also the founder of “Kids Can Code” initiative, which targets young children in primary schools between the ages of 5 and 12. This activity ensures that young children are fully exposed to computer programming, software development, graphic designing and hardware assembling. The foundation also organizes frequent Hackathons that targets students mostly from tertiary institutions and get them involved in the thinking processes of how to proffer better solutions on specific areas of the economy using technology.
In 2016, the Ahmed Bee Foundation started the Coding for people living with disabilities in a bid to expose them to other sources of income. Albinos, people living with blindness, deafness and affected limbs are welcome to the facility every fortnight to acquire free training. With over 15 years as a Scientist with Public Relationship experience, Ahmed is constantly seeking new challenges to help utilize his meticulous attention to details in a friendly and professional manner.
Ahmed is also the first young person in Nigeria to ever declare to run for the office of the President in 2019. His political participation eventually put him on the ballot and also increased his popularity amongst young people in Nigeria and around the political space. His political exposure gives him access to every government/political office holder in Nigeria and has also helped in raising the consciousness in a lot of young Nigerians who have become more aware of their socio-political environment, especially on how to prioritize their requests towards National Development, Stability and Unity. Ahmad Buhari also a social commentator with over 1,000 appearances on TV, Radio, Print Media and Social Media, promoting discourse on the well-being of the Almajiri child, rights of women, giving a voice to people living with disability, religious tolerance, free and fair elections, climate change and helping shape the mind-set of the next generation.
Ahmed is also the founder of the Reformation Movement, an agenda that has awakened the consciousness of young Nigerians across Nigeria to embrace themselves regardless of all those things that divide Nigerians. The organization also focuses on educating young Nigerians on the need to be politically conscious and encourages youth participation in governance and democratic processes. He has also managed to imbibe the culture of volunteering in young people to start caring for the less privilege in society.
Ahmed has received many recognitions including; Entrepreneurship award from MTN Nigeria, a special recognition by the Goodwill Ambassadors Awards Organization, Award of Excellence from the Association of Family Business Owners of Nigeria, West African Leadership Summit, Northern Nigerian Students Association, Rome Business School, Emerging Political Leader from the London Political Summit and many more. Ahmed has spoken at over 5 different TEDx events and is a regular commentator on television, radio and social media platforms across the globe.
On the 24th of September 2020, Ahmed Buhari Conferred as an Ambassador of the African Union. Ahmed was also named as a special youth envoy to the African Union Agenda 2063 and was equally named as a Pan African Role Model.
Ahmed believes that only a united people can become a progressive people.
He is married to his beautiful wife Maryam and they blessed with 3 adorable children
