THESE ARE THE TOP RISKS OF DOING BUSINESS AROUND THE WORLD.

According to findings publish today in the first edition of the new regional risk for doing business report, over 12,000 people who own businesses operating in more than 140 sectors are of the opinion that unemployment and underemployment represent the biggest risk for doing business around the world.

The second biggest risk is ‘failure of national governance’.
The findings should ring alarm bells. At a time when the world is often distracted by the latest twist and turns and odd accelerating news cycles, they provide cautionary evidence of weaknesses in the foundations of our political and economic system. The world economic forum has been analysing risks at the global level since 2006 in its annual global risk report, highlighting the vulnerability of our increasingly networked and interconnected world to vitality and disruption. But even the most global of risk crystallize locally and are experienced differently.

Global risk demands our attention because they entail harm to the lives and livelihoods of particular people in particular places. These particularities cut across several dimensions, from wealth and nationality to gender and profession.

The underlying significance of the unemployment risk need to be cautiously interpreted, as it may reflect quite different challenges across countries, such as weak growth, talent shortages or labour market disruptions caused by automation. Most sub –Saharan African countries faces the profound challenges of creating enough jobs to meet the needs of the working – age population that is expected to double to 1. 6 billion by 2050.

HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR BODY DURING HARMMATTAN SEASON

HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR BODY DURING HARMMATTAN SEASON
BEAUTY.
While other parts of the world are experiencing the winter cold, some African countries like Ghana and Nigeria are suffering experiencing the Harmattan season. This season brings dry and dusty winds that come from the Sahara and make its way through the continent over the
Gulf of Guinea. During this time humidity levels drop significantly lower and the air is much cooler. The last few days the dust and haze caused by the Harmattan season has caused such poor visibility With so much dust in the air that is definitely going to have an effect on
your hair and skin. It’s important to take extra care during this season if you live in or are travelling to West African countries. The following are some tips you can follow to take care of your skin and hair during the Harmattan.

1 Cleanse Daily
Washing your face may seem like basic knowledge, but there are people who go to sleep without doing it. I wash every morning and I never go to bed without continuing my daily skin regimen, which includes cleansing and moisturizing*. Washing your face with a mild soap gets
rid of the heavy layer of grime on your face that has settled in your pores through the day. Also avoid harsh soaps with detergents in them because they will strip natural oils and make your face more dry.
2. Moisturize*
Hydrating your skin is an important part of your daily regimen especially during the dry season when the skin is exposed to the elements of wind and dust. I’ve already noticed my skin feeling drier than normal; especially my legs. One of my favourite body lotions is Dark & Lovely Creme Oils. It’s a perfect blend that ke
eps the skin on my body soft and hydrated. I usually mix it with raw shea butter during the harsh months ofzHarmattan to keep my skin hydrated, reduce itch and keep it skin from getting cracked and flaky.
2. On my face I’ve been using Neutrogena Visibly Even for over 10 years, but when I’m in Ghana I’ve also used the Dark & Lovely Creme oils on my face. At night I use Bio Oil or some shea butter. Experiment with different products to find what works best for your skin type.

3. Aloe Vera
Aloe vera grows in Ghana, Nigeria and most west African countries which means getting it is not difficult. Using aloe vera on your skin routine is also a great way to protect it from the harsh elements of the season. It’s known to be a healing agent and a good skin
protector.

4. Cover Your Hair
This is a simple solution to avoiding all the dust that will sit in your hair every day. Many women decide to do what’s known as ‘protective styling’; wearing braids, weaves or wigs which makes
things easy on a daily basis. You can just get up and go without worrying about your hair, but that doesn’t mean the dust doesn’t settle just because you have a protective style. An extra effort is needed to gently get the dust out of the added hair on your head.
Another option is to cover your hair completely with a head wrap. Personally, I love wearing head wraps because they are so easy, and you can have an array of colours to match whatever you wear. Typically, I add moisture to my hair by using a leave-in conditioning cream before I put the head wrap on my hair. This way I can keep the moisture in while rocking a cool head wrap.

5. Wash & Condition Hair Regularly If you choose to keep your hair out, you will feel the effects of this dry and dusty season. It’s important to choose shampoos that not only cleanse but also condition your hair. Since you might want to wash your hair more frequently because of the feeling of dirt and dust in your hair, it’s a good idea to start using co-wash products that don’t
strip the hair of its natural oils as much as
regular shampoos do.

6. Protect Your Lips
using natural products like raw shea butter, coconut oil and honey on the lips will relieve you of the uncomfortable feeling of dry, chapped lips that often come during the season.

WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT A RELATIONSHIP REBOUND

Now let's talk about rebound relationships after divorce. Some say to jump right in and that a rebound is something "everyone should experience." While others tell horror stories of rebounds that failed to meet their expectations. Your experience really depends upon which side of the rebound you are on: Are you the rebounder, or the person who the rebounder fancies? If it's the latter, be careful.

Dating someone who's on the rebound could end in heartbreak, once their need for a distraction is met.

Below are things to consider before hopping into a rebound relationship after divorce:

What is a Rebound Relationship? A rebound is a courtship that occurs shortly after the breakup of a significant relationship or marriage. The act of moving quickly from a long-lasting partnership into another coins the term "rebound." In some instances, a rebound relationship can even start before a breakup if the couple has distanced themselves emotionally from each other.

Rebounds Serve a Purpose; Some consider a rebound relationship a distraction. Forming a connection to another person keeps you from experiencing the full extent of the emotional pain associated with your divorce. As a misguided attempt to move on with your life, you may jump back into the dating scene for fear of being alone. Its human nature, but it's also a quick fix—one that will dull the pain of a broken heart with the emotional intensity of a new love.

Swapping One Problem for Another; Don’t expect your new partner to make up for your ex-husband's shortcomings. Maybe you experienced infidelity or abuse, so you look to your new man to alleviate the pain from your marriage (a.k.a. "the knight in shining armor syndrome”). But more than likely, all you will do is exchange one set of problems for another. Instead, figure out what you want in a relationship before jumping into another one full bore.

Too Fast, Too Soon ; The desire to find a committed, fulfilling relationship sometimes causes women to leap into a rebound full speed ahead. Maybe you spent years in a bad relationship. Or you're itching to make up for lost time. While the sense of urgency and a desire to "get it right" are great motivators, you need to first make sure that not what's leading you to a potentially hasty move.

Masking Your Pain; This is the biggest problem in a rebound relationship and usually results in someone being "used" and, subsequently, getting hurt. If you jump into another commitment to distract yourself from the pain of your divorce, your new boyfriend is destined for heartbreak. Once he has served his purpose, you will more than likely move on, leaving him to pick up the pieces. Be upfront and honest with your new partner, if you really are just looking for a distraction.

Breakups Lead to Self-Development; Healing the pain of a broken heart will help you become a better version of yourself—one who can empathize with another's pain. And while emotional pain won’t kill you, it sure may feel like it will at the time.

So do yourself the favor of taking time for self-care and healing before moving into a new partnership. The clearer your vision, the more likely you'll meet the love of your life.

Being the Reboundee; Now if you find yourself on the flip-side of the coin—dating a man who was recently divorced—proceed with caution. Don’t allow your new man to set the pace. Because if you do, it may lead to heartbreak. And really, a rebound relationship isn't the best bet if you're looking for real commitment. Still—if you find yourself in one, let it develop slowly and make sure to guard yourself emotionally.

BEST FEEDING ROUTINE FOR YOUR ONE AND TWO YEARS OLD

A new born baby would need to be fed everyone to three hours around the clock but as the child gets towards a year the stomach widens and he or she does not need to be fed at night. However, a one Year old child needs to eat about six times in a day, with milk or breastfeeding session as the last meal. Since Most of them are termed preschool kids, research has shown that these pre-school kids require 3 main meals and two in between snacks in a day.

By the time a child goes to school, he or she can graduate to three main meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and one snack in the afternoon. However, you need to keep a tab on the timings of all the meals. For instance, if you feed your child with breakfast at 7 am and lunch at 12.30 pm, he or she would require a snack in between. More so, it’s important to remember that it’s not how frequently your child eats but what they ingest. Their meals should meet the nutritional requirement and help them in their growth and development. The healthy Snacks I mentioned could range from a glass of milk with a sandwich; a bowl of vegetable soup; cereal with some fresh fruits and milk, fresh fruit smoothies are some of the options you can try out.

DECIDING HOW OFTEN IS SOLELY YOUR BUSINESS: You are in the right position to make your best choice, you need to feed your kid based on your child development and growth, the younger the more frequent, the older the appetite changes just pay attention to your child’s hunger every day because only he or she should choose whether to eat or not.

REMEMBER THE 3 MAIN MEALS

BREAKFAST: This is so important it is not advisable for adults to skip breakfast let alone kids This is one of the wholesome meal in the morning can help you and your child prepare for the day. Children are very active through the day, so they require the right amount of fuel to keep them going. To help your child’s growth and development, it is pertinent to give him wholesome food like whole grain cereals, toast, eggs, fruits and vegetables along with low-fat milk.

LUNCH : Your child needs a follow up meal that’s were lunch comes in.Just as your car engine won’t run if there’s no fuel, your child’s body will not be able to function if you don’t fuel it right. Avoid feeding your child with highly processed foods like salami and ham or salty and sugary food during lunch hour. You can instead feed your child with cooked vegetables, rice, pita bread with low-fat cheese, sandwiches with lean meat, vegetables, hummus and salad. Don’t forget to hydrate your child throughout the day.

IN BETWEEN MEALS: Depending on your child’s activity, his or her appetite may vary. Let them choose how much they want to eat from awide range of healthy foods that you lay out in front of them. Give them nutrition-rich foods rather than empty-calorie foods that are high in energy. Healthy snacks my include grapes and berries

DINNER: Dinner can include chicken or vegetable soup; whole wheat pasta; mashed potatoes, low-fat spinach lasagna; rice, lentil and vegetables or spaghetti with vegetables.

HOW TO CLEAN BLINDS.

Blinds are very beautiful accessories for decorating homes and offices. They appear very unique and beautiful when they are neatly done and fixed, and they make your home stand out. You must note that blinds are of different shapes, textures and types. It is important to know how to care for whatever type you plan to have or already have.

There seems to be two main schools of thought when it comes to cleaning slatted blinds (vertical or horizontal). The first involves using a cloth, some dish liquid, water, a bucket and your hand. The second involves taking the blinds down, putting them in your bath-tub, scrubbing and drying them and then putting them back up. To me, one measure seems reasonable and the other extreme, any guesses as to which is which? No matter what kind of blinds you have, wooden fabric and vertical are the three basic types. These tips will make their cleaning and maintenance easy:

1. Vacuum blinds often with the brush attachment. Vacuum across the slats, not up and down. When done, often, the blind will retain its original colour and beauty, no matter how long it stays.

2. Use a lamb's-wool duster, again working across the slats and starting at the top. Do not use plastic dusters as this can destroy your beautiful blinds in no time.

3. When dusting or vacuuming vertical blinds, brush downward only, as the slats often become unhooked if you brush upward. If you still love your blinds but hate how dirty it has become, you must do everything possible to maintain its beauty. Take caution while cleaning your blinds.

4. Use a rubber sponge, also known as a dry sponge (you can find it at any stores), to remove dust and residue from both fabric and vinyl blinds. Simply wipe the dry sponge firmly across the blinds to give it a perfect look.

5. For spot cleaning, spray an all-purpose cleaner onto a clean dry cloth and wipe the soiled area of the blind. Never spray the cleaner directly onto the blind to avoid discolouration of your blinds.

6. You can wet wooden blinds when cleaning, but don't soak them. Clean them in place instead of removing them as you would for other types of blinds. In order for you to maintain the quality and beauty of your wooden blinds, ensure that you don’t soak them in water, and also ensure your wooden blinds are in a place where they can properly dry after cleaning.

7. If fabric blinds become very dirty, take them to a dry cleaner who can handle them carefully to avoid damage.

8. To clean metal and vinyl blinds, follow this method: Take the blinds outside to your driveway and lay them on a small rug or piece of carpet. Put a few drops of dish-washing soap in a bucket of water. Wet a car-washing brush and brush the blinds from side to side, and then turn them over and brush the other side. Rinse the blinds gently with a garden hose while tilting them so that the water runs off. To prevent water spots from forming, quickly run your finger down the slats a couple of times to remove excess water. When done, drape the blinds over a fence or a couch to dry.

If you still care for your blinds, you will take note of how they can be well taken care of and maintained.

TRUTHS ABOUT UNDER THE BRIGDES IN ABUJA

Over the years Abuja the nation’s capital city has bagged one of the best road networks in Nigeria, but little did most Motorist know that beyond the slight jerking of their cars that announce their driving across bumps on the bridges, many motorists do not know the quantum of human activities that takes place under them.

CRIME AND CRIMINALITY:
If you are mistaking all the Abuja under bridges as homes only for the harmless craftsmen and artisan you’re in for a shocker. Many of them are den of robbers with several abandoned bags.

In fact, it will be tantamount to embarking on a suicide mission risking entrance into some of the under bridges without the assistant of security forces. Best time to go under the bridges are during the day it is very risky at night hence caution should be taken. Several Abuja under bridges have really become evil forests and hideouts for dare-devil robbers snatching bags, handsets and attacking unsuspectingvictims and motorists.

HOME FOR PROSTITUTES:

There are many ladies either hanging out with male friends or living under bridges during the day and prostituting at night. From time to time Ladies are seen casually dressed under the bridge along the Aminu Kano Crescent. An alcohol dealer confirmed that while some of them live with their male friends, others only sleep during the day and “go to work at night.”

DEN OF MARIJUANA SMOKERS:

Under most Bridges in Abuja are not just for the artisan and craftsmen only but are also home for the Marijuana’s” They are the main reason why Security agents are constantly raiding the place and extorting money from them said an eye witness. Another group in this class are homeless area boys. With the increasing destruction of shanties and makeshift houses especially at the city centers, many of them found succor and comfortable homes under the bridge.

HOW TO DRESS SEXY, CLASSY AND ELEGANT TO WORK, PARTY AND DINNER DATES.

Sexy and classy have always straddled a fine line, but let’s find out how you can nail these two desirable qualities at the same time Feeling sexy is a matter of attitude, at the risk of sounding like a cliche — confidence is sexy! However, when it comes to dressing the part, I must admit that it gets a little more complicated. There’s an extremely fine line between celebrating sensuous femininity and coming on too strong or trashy and swanky.

When it comes to looking sultry, all the stylish ladies would understand that less is more. We know that cleavage-baring necklines and body-hugging minis will turn heads, but we’d rather flaunt our sexiness in a more subtle, elegant and sophisticated way.
To dress sexy while still maintaining classiness requires lots of confidence and a scrupulous attention to detail. Here are five super useful tips to make sure you command attention when you walk into a room for all the right reasons.

Wear sensual colours;
Generally, colours like red, black and white are great sensual colours that will automatically draw the attention of those around you, even if the design of your outfit is relatively simple. You can also opt for colours that complement your skin tone. Rich jewel hues like purple and dark green look great on cool skin tones, whereas metallic and neon are more suitable for people with warm skin tones. Bold, bright colours look great on neutral skin tones.

Just one focal point;
while you should be proud of all your bodily assets, you should only show off one part of your body at a time. Focus on your favourite feature: long legs, small waist, full bust or even your collarbone. For example, if you want to show off those toned abs that you’ve been working so hard on, go grab that crop top but try to keep your limbs covered. Don’t bare them all! This helps people to immediately notice your proudest asset yet still leave enough to the imagination.

Wear lace;
Lace has never gone out of style. In fact, we suspect that it has some magical trans formative powers that help to make any woman feel like a seductress when she put it on. Try peekaboo lace styles to allow people get a glimpse of your body without it being completely exposed for an alluring look. You can opt to place the lace strategically over your favourite feature to flaunt it and try to avoid head to toe lace.
It will only make you look antique.

Fancy footwear;
wearing a fantastic heel (that you can actually walk in) is a great way to create interest without crossing the boundary of good taste. It will definitely give a great boost to your sex appeal. They change the way you carry yourself, your posture and your strut. It adds few inches to your height, making your legs
look longer and leaner. One word of warning, though: Remember to stay away from platform stilettos to prevent Yourself from venturing into swanky territory.

Everything starts from the inside;
Last but not least, your intimates. Like I said earlier, sexiness is an attitude, so it has to come from within, both literally and metaphorically. If it helps with the attitude, put on some seductive lingerie (lace, silk or satin) to help you feel sexy in your own skin. For those who are donning figure-hugging body con numbers, remember to pick the correct bra in a complementary colour (and shape wear for those who need them) to ensure that you feel super sleek in the dress.

GUILD-LINES TO BRUSHING YOUR TEETH

Brushing your teeth is an important part of your dental care routine. For a healthy mouth and smile….

-Brush your teeth twice a day with a soft-bristled brush. The size and shape of your brush should fit your mouth allowing you to reach all areas easily.

-Replace your toothbrush every three or four months, or sooner if the bristles are frayed. A worn toothbrush won’t do a good job of cleaning your teeth.

-Make sure you are using a good toothpaste.

HERE ARE FEW BRUSHING TECHNIQUES;

-Place your toothbrush at a 45-degree angle to the gums.

-Gently move the brush back and forth in short (tooth-wide) strokes.

-Brush the outer surfaces, the inner surfaces, and the chewing surfaces of the teeth.

-To clean the inside surfaces of the front teeth, tilt the brush vertically and make several up-and-down strokes.

DANGERS OF DATING A MARRIED MAN

TRUTH BE TOLD! Two out of every five men has had an affair by the age of 45. If you're the other woman, you might be in for a lot of hurt and heartache. If you think your married lover is going to leave his wife for you, think again! The fact that he didn't end his relationship with his wife before starting to date you is something you need to seriously consider. You might be in love and believe he is your soul mate, but guess what!? “A real soul mate would not set you on the sidelines."

If you have eyes for a married guy, you’re probably sitting here looking for every excuse under the sun to rationalise what you’re thinking of doing. But here’s the cold, hard truth: pursuing a married man isn’t worth it! Here’s why;

COMMITMENT ISSUES AND LOST TIMES; The married man might tell you he loves you, or even say his wife never made him feel the way you did. But be careful. He does not have to commit, because he can use the excuse that he is married and he can't leave his wife or the kids need him. He can drag out your relationship for years. You might miss out on opportunities to meet the love of your life and get married. You could end up putting your whole life on hold for this man. You will be the one suffering and waiting. Unless he divorces his wife right away, you just don't know how long you will wait.

TRUST FACTORS; you are dating a married man, after all. This means he has been dishonest with his wife. How can you trust him when it comes to your relationship? What kind of person takes up with someone else while still married? He might tell you he and his wife are both OK with the situation, but you just don't know. He might say his wife is a horrible person and try to put her down, but again, you don't know. It's not a good sign that he'll cheat on someone instead of being honest and working on the relationship. If his wife really is as horrible as he says she is, that calls into question his taste and judgement in women. If he has a pattern of not choosing the right woman for him, that doesn't bode well for your relationship.

GUILT ISSUES; you don't know the nature of his relationship with his wife. However, when you put yourself in his wife's shoes, you see things differently. How would you feel if that happened to you? But in this situation, you are the other woman and you are coming between him and his family. Guilt can set in as you think about what you are doing to his wife.

LONELINESS AND DEPRESSION; you’re going to spend many nights alone when you date a married man. He might give you the excuse that he needs to do something with the kids. You might go a week or more without seeing him. If this goes on for years, you will suffer a lot to live your relationship around his life and schedule. You basically will live according to his whims. You will not be able to call him at home. He will probably spend holidays with his family. The loneliness can cause you to feel depressed as you realise how much you have sacrificed to stay in this relationship with him.
