Mourinho plans massive clear-out at Man United, set to spare only 7 players

It is believed that Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, is planning a major clear out at the Red Devils and only seven players are reportedly safe in the clear-out. Mourinho hopes to have a squad that can compete with Pep Guardiola City side for next season Premier League after the Citizens were confirmed winners of this season's League. The Irish Independent report that manager Jose Mourinho has had it with many of United players, and very few are safe in the summer. Mourinho would be willing to consider the sale of pretty much any players except David De Gea, Alexis Sanchez, Romelu Lukaku, Nemanja Matic, Jesse Lingard, Ashley Young and Juan Mata. They are currently the only ones who have his full trust. The Red Devil sources are keen to point out that such swings have been a trend of Mourinho's time so far, and that his moods have been greatly influenced by the most recent big results. That has led to transfer plans drastically changing from month to month - in a way that just would not happen at Manchester City now due to their approach - and it is possible that victory over Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup semi-final at the weekend could cause another reversion.
