150 ATHLETES WOULD REPRESENT OGUN AT THE 2019 NATIONAL YOUTH GAMES



A total of 150 athletes from Ogun State would participate in 28 sporting events at the 2019 National Youth Games (NYG) holding between September 7 and 17, 2019, at Ilorin, Kwara State.

The Permanent Secretary, Ogun State Ministry of Youth and Sports, Mr. Peter Fagbohun who disclosed this said the Ogun State contingents are in high spirit and ready for the task ahead.

Fagbohun stated these, while supervising the opening of account for Athletes going for the games, by the Gateway Mortgage Bank, at the Ministry’s Conference Room, Abeokuta.

He noted that the team was ready to surpass its achievement at the last edition of the event, judging by the commitment of the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun to take sports to the next level.

Two of the Athletes, Ogechi Oluchi and Abudu Adams declared their readiness for the games, expressing optimism of winning medals for the state.
