The terms “anklets’, “ankle chains’, “ankle bracelets’, “ankle strings’ are terms you may come across in trending fashion catalogs, jewelry stores and even in historical fragments. Today, ankle chains are shaping one of the main accessory trends spotted at the spring/summer 2019 runway shows.
Anklets can be of different designs, made out of various materials (gold, silver, leather, plastic, nylon, beads, and shells) and in a focal point of mixing and matching procedures. Anklets can be worn in the right or left according to anklet-wearing etiquette, but in some other traditions anklets cannot be worn at all. It was even said that only prostitutes can wear it, but as a married woman she can wear it at home only. There are different types of anklets that are trending nowadays:
Silver Anklets: The Silver anklets are more casual, and are exactly for young ladies. They might make an ideal harmonious pair with summer sandals.
Golden Anklets: Golden ankle-bracelets are number one luxury indicators, especially when they are decorated with precious stones, like diamonds or rubies.
Beaded Anklets: Beaded chains can be matched with either sandals or beach-worthy flip-flops. They are made up of beads.
