Hon. Ali Isa J.C is a
member, House of Representatives representing Balanga/Billiri Federal
Constituency in Gombe State. He is presently the Deputy Chairman, House
Committee on Emergency and Disaster Preparedness. He is a very hard working
gentleman who strives to see that he succeeds in fulfilling the demands of his
constituency.
Recently, precisely on the
4th of June, 2016, all roads led to Billiri, Gombe State for the flag
off of Hon. J.C Empowerment Scheme and the official opening of his constituency
office. 500 people had already undergone 3 months training in skills like
tailoring, hairdressing and other similar skills. This set of people were
further supported and empowered with sewing machines and other equipment to
enable them start up small businesses.
On the said bright
afternoon he empowered 4000 farmers with 5 trailers of fertilizers, seedlings,
chemicals and spraying machines. He also aided both present and past party
officials and other members of his constituency with cars, motorcycles and
other empowerment items. The empowerment grants cut across party divide;
members of the constituency, irrespective of party affiliation benefited.
Religious leaders were not left out.
In his speech, he humbly
appealed to the constituency members to be patient with the present administration. He acknowledged that part of his duty is to
lobby for federal presence in projects and employment in fulfillment of
campaign promises, adding that some of the youths have gotten gainful
employment in various offices as a result of his efforts.
The grand occasion was
graced by His Exc. Alhaji Ibrahim Dankwambo, the Executive Governor of Gombe
State; the Honourable Speaker, Federal
House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara; His Exc. Dr. Gabriel Suswan
(former Governor of Benue State), many senators and honourable members, top
government officials, friends and well wishers.
The event was crowned with a dinner and Gala night organised by
His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Gombe State, Alh. Ibrahim Hassan
Dankwambo, for the guests. As we often say, pictures speak a thousand words.
