Head Transplant: Whose Life?

If a head is transplanted on another body, whose life would it be, the owner of the head or the owner of the body?  I am asking because some crazy scientists and surgeons are claiming that in about two years from now they would be able to do a head transplant. Sources say they are gearing up to perform the world’s first human head transplant. Monkey head transplant was successfully done 40 years ago, and something similar has just been done in China with a mouse, the source claimed. From what the source says, they are actually serious about this body swap; they have put 2017 as the year for the operation that will cost 7.5million pounds. I hear they already have a long list of potential patients, and will announce the plans at a top medical conference later this year.
Now read what they say about how the process will go: “The new body would come from a normal transplant donor whose brain is dead. Both the donor and the patient would have their heads severed from their spinal cord at the same time, using an ultra-sharp blade to give a clean cut. The patient’s head would then be moved on to the donor’s body and attached, using a ‘glue’ called polyethylene glycol to fuse the two ends of the spinal cord together.”  (Read more: www.tandullceblogspot.com)
